General
Infections can occur during hairdressing or nail treatment
procedures. Tools and instruments used in the industry such as
razors, scissors, combs, clippers, etc. must be adequately
sanitized to avoid infection. Our Department's concern is that
all operations have high standards of cleanliness, personal
hygiene, and infection control.
Our department highly recommends
that barber shop, beauty salon, and nail salon operators
encourage their clients to bring their own sanitized nail care
implements to avoid client to client transfer of infections.
Both professionals and clients should read the barber shop,
beauty salon, and nail salon regulations posted in the forms
section of our website. |
